What is KJAB Christian Radio?

A Ministry of Soul's Harbor Baptist Church

Bluegrass gospel radio station southern gospelKJAB Christian Radio is a ministry of the Soul's Harbor Baptist Church of Mexico, Missouri.  It is owned and operated by the church and is a by-faith ministry dedicated to these two major tasks in its broadcasting:

  1. To present through preaching and music the Gospel message that Jesus Christ saves sinners who will repent and trust in Him as their Savior.
  2. To encourage the saints of God in their daily walk with the Lord through informative programming.  We accept the 1611 King James Bible as God’s final authority in our lives.

History of KJAB

KJAB radio broadcasts at 4,800 watts from a 320’ tower on a frequency of 88.3 FM, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  The Master's Radio has been on the air since 1986.  From 1986 to 1999, we broadcasted at 380 watts at a frequency of 90.1 FM.

In March of 1999, we became the largest Christian radio station in our area when we raised our power to 6,000 watts on a 130’ tower.

On February 28 of 2005, we moved to a 320’ tower and backed our power down to 4,800 watts.  Although our wattage is less, the tower height has expanded our signal greatly.  We now provide a clear signal to several Central Missouri cities including:  Fulton, Jefferson City, Moberly, Montgomery City, Vandalia, parts of Columbia, and other area communities.  For a clear picture of our broadcast area, click here to see our broadcast map.
