The Free Adult Services Program invites you to join them for a book discussion Monday, May 18, from 6:00-7:00pm at the Vandalia Branch Library. Dr. Ron Williams of the Hephzibah House Broadcast will be speaking at Soul's Harbor Baptist Church on Wednesday evening, May 14th, at 7:00pm. Dr. Williams will be preaching on the home and will have many materials available for those who come. Dr. Williams and his family have had a home for troubled teen girls for over 30 years. He has been broadcasting on KJAB for the past 15 years. Come and hear Bible preaching on the home from Dr. Williams. Soul's Harbor Baptist Church is located at 310 N. Wade Street in Mexico. Come join in the fun and be blessed with singing, testifying, and preaching at the Community Gospel Tent Meeting being held May 18 through May 23. The tent will be set up next to Ben's Auto Body on Bus. Hwy 54 in Mexico. Each night the event begins at 7:00 with great gospel music from groups like: The Canote Family, The Spidles, Joyful Sound, Praises to HIM, and Cathy Bertel. On Saturday, May 17, from 10:00-11:00am, local author Judy Crowford will conduct a workshop about her latest book, Time-Out for Tired Moms: Finally, Mom, Go to Your Room!, at the Vandalia Library. If you are a busy mom who doesn't think she has time to attend such a workshop, this is for you! Judy shares humorous stories from the experience of being mom to 4 children, coupled with real world practical suggestions for making time for yourself.
